Bob Strang CPA – Retired

Bob, the founder of the firm, retired in 2006 after over 40 years of practice as a CPA in Florida. Bob played a very active role in the development of Punta Gorda, as a member of the Punta Gorda Community Redevelopment Agency for many years. His commitment to excellence as a CPA is the standard for Strang, Olsen & Lynch, CPAs.

 

ronRon Olsen, MBA, CPA – Shareholder

Ron joined with Bob Strang in 2000 after retiring from the US Navy with the rank of Commander.  Ron received his Bachelors of Science degree from California State University, Sacramento and his MBA degree from Michigan State University.  He is very active in the Punta Gorda community having served on numerous non-profit boards including Chairman of the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce.  He currently serves on the boards of the Charlotte Community Foundation, the Visual Arts Center Endowment Trust, the Peace River Botanical Gardens and the Military Officers Association of America.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Charlotte County Estate Planning Council.

Ron is recognized as an advanced tax planning expert and consultant for individuals and businesses.  His professionalism and commitment to our clients sets the standard by which this CPA firm operates.  He is your advocate for corporate, estate, small business and individual tax needs.

 

BRENDABrenda Lynch, CPA – Shareholder

Brenda joined the firm in 2003.  Prior, she spent several years in private industry accounting, working as corporate controller.  She received her Bachelors of Science degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  Brenda is very active in the Punta Gorda community having served on many non-profit boards such as TEAM Punta Gorda and New Operation Cooper Street.  She is currently serving as the Chairman of the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce, and as Treasurer of the Business and Professional Women of Charlotte County.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Charlotte County Estate Planning Council, the Business and Professional Women of Charlotte County and a graduate of Leadership Charlotte class of 2009.

Brenda is a recognized professional for business and individual accounting and tax planning matters.  She provides audit representation, She directs the firm’s Deep Water Horizon claims processing program and oversees all accounting functions.

 

 Colleen Wright, CPA

Colleen joined the firm in 2016.  She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Florida and New York.  She has over 20 years of public and private accounting experience including “Big 4” and small firm audit experience, as well as senior financial management experience in governmental, manufacturing, not-for-profit, education, and health care sectors.  Colleen received her Bachelors of Science Degree from the State University of New York at Utica-Rome.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and will serve as the Treasurer for the Charlotte County Estate Planning Council in 2017.

Colleen has served on several not-for-profit boards in the Jamestown, New York area, and has been a volunteer for the V.I.T.A. program which provides free income tax preparation to low-income residents.  Colleen is quickly becoming involved in the Punta Gorda community and looks forward to serving it for years to come.

 

Janelle Scribner – Office Manager

Janelle has been with the firm since 2007.  She came to Charlotte County from Virginia where she worked 3 years as an Administrative Assistant for a CPA firm.  Janelle was the firms receptionist until recently, when she was promoted to office manager.  She makes sure that the office is organized and that work flows through the office in the most efficient way possible.

Michele joined with Bob Strang in 2000 just prior to Ron joining the firm.  She has over 25 years of public accounting experience, having worked for CPA firms and private industry.  With her in- depth knowledge of business accounting systems and software including Quick Books, Michele is able to assist clients with advanced accounting issues resolution including sales tax and payroll.

Judy has been with us since 2010.  She supports our accounting clients, providing full accounting write-up.  With over 10 years of experience in providing public accounting services, she is trained in multiple accounting software systems.  Judy is always ready to assist our clients with their accounting support needs, including Quickbooks, sales tax and payroll.

 

 

Candice White – Accountant

Candice joined the firm in 2011.  She has been in the public accounting field for over 8 years.  She is trained in several accounting software systems including Quickbooks and provides accounting write-up services including payroll and sales tax support to our clients.

 

 

 

Liz Mullens – Accountant

Liz joined the firm in 2015.  She graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.  She will soon be returning to school to finish courses needed to obtain her CPA license.  Liz is a true Florida native, and grew up in Charlotte County.  Liz assists clients with their accounting needs and is proficient in QuickBooks and other software.

 

 


Bonnie Stoll – Accountant

Bonnie joined the firm in 2017.  She recently moved to Florida from Illinois and has over 13 years of accounting experience.  As a graduate of Florida Institute of Technology, she is no stranger to Florida and looks forward to assisting clients with their accounting needs, including write-ups, payroll and QuickBooks support.

Lyn has been with the firm since 2015.  Lyn is the our first point of contact for every client.  She makes sure every client receives the best services possible.  Give us a call, Lyn makes sure your questions are answered.

Cindy joined the firm in 2012.  Working behind the scenes, she makes sure all work flows through the office efficiently by keeping all the manual and electronic file systems, assembling reports & tax returns and serving other customer needs.
